Minerva Ingredients is responsible for producing and trading ingredients such as sebum, meat and bone meal and bovine blood, as well as bones for pet food. It uses the raw materials from the slaughter and deboning process of Minerva Foods’ industrial units in Brazil.
Both meat and bone meal and bovine blood have high nutritional and energetic value and are especially intended for animal nutrition. These ingredients are used to produce animal feed (poultry, shrimps, fish and pigs) and also for pet food (dogs, cats, ornamental fish and bird).
Bovine sebum is also widely used in the chemical, hygiene, cleaning and biofuel industries. For this latter, it is a highly sustainable alternative, both economically and environmentally.
The entire production process ensures a high standard of quality to the products offered by Minerva Ingredients, as it complies with the most rigorous self-control programs, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Hygiene Procedures (SOHP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and others, which are monitored by the Quality Control team, responsible for ensuring the high food standards of the Company’s units, as well as guaranteeing the origination, certification, traceability and control seal of the Federal Inspection Service (SIF).
